The John
Andrew Mazie Memorial Foundation has been awarded an ADOPT-A-VISIBILITY
site near the site of John’s fatal crash.
The actual
crash site was obliterated when a new exit was built off Route 495 in
Marlborough.
The Visibility
Site is on an island at the end of exit 23C off Route 495. There are plantings
on the island and an Adopt-A-Visibility sign which reads, “Friends of
John Andrew Mazie”.
The Foundation
is required to clear the site of litter once a month from April 15th Through
November 15th.
A crew
of 4 to 6 volunteers would spend 1 to 1 1/2 hours at the task. Someone
from the Foundation would be present with gloves, litter bags, safety
(orange) vests and pointed wood sticks.
